Trail mix is one of those snacks that you can bring with you everywhere you go. Whether you feel hungry on the road or at work trail mix will always be there for you. Whenever I buy trail mix from the store I always feel like there is just one ingredient I could do without! Then I realized, hey! why don’t I just make my own? And then i finally tried it and the rest is history. What’s fun is you can always modify it and add different ingredients while keeping it delicious. I will give you a good simple one that’s one of my favorites.

Ingredients
  1. 1 cup Almonds
  2. 1 cup Unsalted peanuts
  3. 1 cup cashews
  4. 1/2 cup Brazil nuts (the best thing ever!)
  5. 1 cup dried raisins or cranberries
  6. 1 cup diced up dates
  7. 1 cup diced up apricots
  8. 1 full bar of dark chocolate at least 70%
Instructions
  1. Mix all the cups together in a big bowl
  2. Crush the dark chocolate into small pieces and add to bowl
  3. Optional add 1/2 a cup of pumpkin or sunflower seeds
  4. Ready to serve

Hopefully you will like this recipe, its super simple and will last you about 1 week! It’s really delicious and you could always modify it to your liking’s. I really enjoyed this mix and I found that the dark chocolate pieces really gave it that extra flavor.
