Melissa contacted me with her incredible story and I had to interview her. This is what it’s all about. Hard work, determination and of course change. Some would say she was at a point of no return and its too late, but clearly that’s not true. Melissa proved that anything is possible and it’s never to late. Don’t wait for something big to happen, go out and do it yourself!

1 – Tell us a little bit about yourself and what you accomplished. 
My name is Melissa-Kruse Sanchez, I’m 45 years young. I have 2 daughters Linda and Michelle, and 3 grandchildren Rayna, Raniyah, and Jasper. And a very good man for 10 years. I weighed 502 pounds, And currently I have lost 262 pounds, no surgery. I did it by exercising and eating healthy.

2 – What inspired you to take action and make this incredible change?
My health. I was having liver, kidney problems. My blood pressure was high, my cholesterol was horrible. The bottom of my legs were turning purple. It was very hard to walk.

3 – Did you find it difficult to stay on track during the process?
No because at that time I knew I had to change, it was now life or death.

4 – What helped you stick with it and not give up? Because I know it can get tough.
I was seeing the numbers on the scale going down, my clothes were getting baggy, I was breathing better, walking was getting easier.

IMAG0901_15 – Were your friends and family encouraging you during the experience? If so, do you find it helped you stay motivated and kept you going?
Jeff wolf my man has been there since day one. He was there when I weighed over 500 pounds and I asked for his help. He kept me going even on my bad days. I also a very helpful friend of mine cherisse Petersen one of my co workers. She was tough on me. Lol.

6 – What are some of the benefits you got from the whole experience?
I enjoy waking up everyday now.

7 – There is so many options for people to lose weight but many are still finding it difficult to achieve  What exactly did you do to lose that weight?
I did do hcg until I got to 410 pounds to start exercising. Then I stopped and started exercising and eating healthy.

8 – If you were able to go back in time before you made the change what advice would you give yourself?
To love myself not destroy myself.

9 – Do you have any advice for those who don’t know how to get started? 

It works, you can do it. You have to believe in yourself. And you have to do it for yourself. No one is going to do it for you.

10 – You have an inspiring story! Do you have any last words you’d like to share with anyone?
I want to help people, because I know what it felt like, and how alone I felt. I have a facebook page that people can like and I’m always there to Help and talk.
